Certifications & Approvals
Fire safety compliance in Malaysia doesn’t stop at the door leaf. Under UBBL 1984, a fire-rated opening is only compliant if the entire doorset — leaf, frame, seals and ironmongery — matches the specification that was actually tested and approved. Substituting an uncertified closer or lockset invalidates the assembly, and that gets picked up at BOMBA submission.
This is why we’re careful about what we supply. MEWA Sdn Bhd supplies and installs certified products in accordance with the tested specification, UBBL 1984, and the conditions stated in Lampiran A1 & A2. SIRIM Test Report No. 2026FE0205 · BOMBA Certificate No. JBPM/IP/RNP:700-7/2/3-816 (valid 04/05/2026 – 03/05/2028).
For architects, M&E consultants and main contractors, this means the hardware we quote can be written straight into a fire door schedule with the certification references attached. No substitution queries, no resubmission, no last-minute swap on site.
